| Current Projects and Recent Neglect For Them, Oh No - Tuesday, February 10, 2009 11:30 P.M |
Haven’t talked about anything in a few weeks now. But it’s not like nothing has been happening lately. This week alone (only Tuesday so far) has been hands down the most fun week of 2009 so far. Recently the weather’s been a little warmer, I’ve gotten out more, and even got closer to already close friends. I got to hop back up on my board after months of freezing temps and no skating. Felt great, I’m a little rusty, but it still felt great.
The only “real” downside is that for a few days I haven’t been able to get some of my constant projects done. Everyone knows that I like to keep the project train constantly moving. At the moment, I’m currently working on: (and I’ll cross them off as they get done)
- More website work. I’ve got one new person in Wisconsin or something that wants me to 2.0 the hell outta their site. Its simple, so I’ll only be making a template and applying it all to their current pages. I also have to add more pages (and collect the rest of what I’m owed) for thinksafetyusa.com, the website I did for my friends at Think Safety, Inc. Status: Haven't even started
- I’ve neglected adding on the rest of the content and pages and whatnot for my own site and the [NYCB] site. Like I said, with the weather being better, I was able to get back to getting out a little more (don’t wanna get fat) and skate around a little. But now that I’ve decided to sit down and get more stuff down, I’ll continue add what I need to add as the days pass. Keep in mind, my site is still young, it needs to grow. The entire Projects section has to be up ASAP, as that’s where a lot of what I have planned (business-wise) will be referred to as far as my photoshop skills, web/graphic designing skills, and ideas are concerned. Status: Getting there
- T-shirt design for ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com. Godamn it I was super hyped for getting this done when they announced they needed a t-shirt designed. Everyone already knows that I’ve designed countless T-shirts for myself, but this is for thatguywiththeglasses. I’ve always been a huge fan of Doug and the gang’s works and how they’re like one tight family, and umm, hello, I wear glasses too, haha. I’ve already finished up 3 designs for them, but I wanna hold off on sending them until I can make more, or update the current ones. I really wanna win, haha. Not exactly for the cash though (although that’s kinda cool too, haha), I’ve just been wanting to be part of the family for awhile now. Status: Still in progress
- Perhaps the biggest one for me, and also the stupidest for you….You ready? *drum roll… Getting the wall mount for my LCD TV. Haha, told you it was retarded. Alrighty, here’s the deal. Since the day I got this massive TV beast, I’ve always wanted to buy the wall mount and well…put it on the wall. It would give me so much more space on top of the shelf thing where I keep all my old Nintendos. Also, It would look loads better, right? Here’s the problem. A wall mount for a 47” LCD TV cost $162…Ouch, what the hell? I mean, a mount for a 40” LCD TV is like $50…What the hell happened? The part that sucks most about this is that I’ll have to get it when I have $162 that I can easily just kill. Which isn’t likely gonna happen soon considering the phone bill I STILL haven’t paid is guess what? Exactly $162 dollars…..and 3 cents. Status: Not Done
- My stupid Xbox 360. If you've seen my photos, you know that my xbox finally got its "red ring of death." To those who don't know what that is, the "Red Ring of Death" on an xbox 360 is the 3 red lights on your xbox that pretty much states that you're xbox is now fucked to the point of no return and you need to get a new one. I already did the towel trick (which I'm not gonna explain) and a few days later, red ringed again...oh boy...Luckily however, mine is still eligible to be sent to fagsoft err microsoft to be replaced with a new one free of charge. I STILL haven't gotten around to doing this. Most likely since the instant I get the new one, I'm just gonna be giving it to Lyss...since I now hate xboxes that much more. Before March 13th (you know why) I plan on getting a PS3 and leaving this xbox in the dust. Status: annoying.
Lastly, selling my dad’s car. Oh man, why is this so hard to do? It’s a freaking 1990 Jaguar XJS, a classic, why is this thing so hard to sell? I’ve been trying to sell it for him for like a freaking month now. I have a buyer, but this dude is weird. I hope this is the first thing I get done in my list. Because I dunno how much more I can take of this. Status: Got played, I'm fucking giving up on this.
There’s much more small things that aren’t really important enough to be thrown in there. They aren’t really projects, but more small things I need to do. But as you can see, I like to keep myself busy as much as possible. |
