Super Heroes, Vampires, Singing Nerds, and a Hylian Knight -Sunday, November 1st, 2009 8:23P.M |
| |
Halloween had finally come, and all who know me know that I’ve been working on my costume all year. I worked on my costume till the very day of Halloween. I had worked hard to ensure that costume was accurate, functional, and looked great. And boy did I do a great job.
This year, I went as none other than Link, from the Legend Of Zelda games. Link’s my favorite character of all time, so I thought it’d be appropriate to put on the Hero’s tunic and represent its proud green. Fully equipped with a REAL Master Sword, Hylian Shield, and Ocarina of time, I knew this Halloween night was going to rock.
Everyone had come over to my house in their costumes to see my long awaited creation in anticipation. Victor was Captain Jack Sparrow, Marvin was Luigi, Erica was SuperGirl, and my buddy Lisa was a…sorceress, right? I suited up and jaws were dropped. We headed out to Joan’s house where we all showed off our costumes to our other friends. I busted out a few Linkish poses, and off we headed to the city.
We ran into a miscommunication when we arrived at Grand Central. We thought Lisa’s sister had been on the same train as us, but actually wasn’t. We waited on the platform for almost an hour, but not a minute of it was boring. Everyone loved the Link costume. Girls waved from the train, people came from all over to snap photos with me, and people shouted things like “Yooooooo Zelda!” and “Look! It’s Link!!” A played the Ocarina as best as I could for the people who wanted to hear it. After we got word that Lisa’s sister was on her way, out we headed to the downtown-bound 6 train…Next stop, the Village...

Straight Jello For A Week - Monday August 17th, 2009 10:53 P.M |
| |
Its been about a good month and a half since my last blog so I think I owe my friends a new one:
This past week from August 10 th through the 17 th, I went out to Mississippi to go visit a good old friend of mine Angie. We had talked a lot this whole year about her coming out here to NYC to come visit ME, but unfortunately those plans fell through. I figured since I was working again and had some free time on my hands, so hell, why not right? The result? …The most fun I’ve had in a long time…Seriously. I say this to everyone who reads this: If you have someone who you are close to, or used to be close to and haven’t seen em in awhile, and you have a chance to go see them and they wanna see you back…do it. The ending result is rewarding and can leave you fresh and happy with a clear head when you need to head back to your Hyrule.
The fun started with me right on the...

Summer Officially Starts...What's Gonna Happen? -Monday, June 29st, 2009 8:33 A.M |
| |
I think it’s been about 2 months since my last blog. I doubt too many people read these, but I know my closest friends and ma soaping boys read this stuff and I apologize if I have seemed like a ghost lately. Oh boy…2 months, a lot has happened, but it doesn’t feel like it too much. But anyway, here’s what’s been going down:
Work…work…work- I’ve got a few more website jobs lined up for myself which should easily put a few more G’s in my pocket. I’ve also started working yet again in construction. This time we’re doing emergency egress in the projects the most cracked out city of Newark, NJ…Holy hell, I hate that place.
A Red Nintendo Wii- After waiting an extremely long time to arrive in the mail, my boy Joan finally got some mod cases for our friend’s Wii. The ending result was a beautiful red Wii, with a black stand. As for the wiimote and nunchuk, the wiimote is top red, bottom black, and the nunchuk is black. We’ll soon finish it up to give it it’s own black wire, but everything comes in good time…Making the nunchuk wire is never easy, trust me, I know…
Skate Day 2009- Don’t get your hopes up, this year sucked too, but nowhere near as bad as last year, believe me. This year’s skate day fell onto Saturday, June 27 th after being postponed from it’s usual June 21 st thanks to New York City’s now 4 weeks straight of almost non-stop rain. We got to the Brooklyn banks almost an hour late, only to find out that everyone was already at LES. Again this year, the whole thing was completely uncoordinated with people flying off in every direction...

The Triforce Of Courage- -Tuesday, April 27th, 2009 10:16 P.M |
| |
It's been almost a month since my last post, and I apologize. Lately I've been hit with many things that have been time-consuming, so here's a basic rundown of my recent life:
- I started working again- It's been awhile since I got called into work for Think Safety, Inc. and Gatto Construction. Everyone remembers what happened the last time I worked, hehe. But anyway, they did quite well in the basement we were working on and they were a little short, so they called me in to help out with the rest. The place has been coming along great. Although it is indeed cutting into my personal life, it is putting money in my pocket...not to mention it's only gonna last a few days, so personal life; here I come : ]
- I got my tattoo redone- Everyone knows that I have the triforce tattooed on my left hand. People who know me a little better know that when I got it, I wasn't exactly satisfied. The guy who did it for me was obviously a retard, and messed up a lot of what it was supposed to look like. For almost 9 months, I had this "tattoo" that could barely be seen by a normal eye. After getting my 2nd pay from work, I decided to get back my courage and get this tattoo redone. I was sent to "Pain Ink" in 103rd, where I got the Triforce redone. A little more expensive than my last tattoo, but totally worth it. Right now its still healing, but I'm very happy with the end result.
- Brawl Plus sucks- Right after getting the tattoo, I was invited the sunday coming up to partake in Anime Castle's "Big" Brawl PLUS tournament. For those who don't know, Brawl PLUS is a version of brawl made by team twiizers that removes a lot of the cheap elements from the game, and supposedly balances the game...

Business, Wii hacking, Dragonball Movie and Warm Weather?-Friday, March 27th, 2009 2:25 P.M |
| |
Whoa, I haven't blogged about anything in a while huh? I guess I have some explaining to do...Rather than explain, let me tell you what’s been up:
Recently I’ve been working on a “business” section for AnthoFlex.com. I’ve been putting together a portfolio of the websites I’ve made, as well as put together some résumés that can be accessed in PDF format if you have Adobe Reader. As soon as I get paid the remainder of what I’m owed for my previous website job, I’m gonna get some brand new business cards printed out to give people who need websites or logos done for their companies. I’m hoping to get this web career up off the floor soon.
I’ve also gotten into the art of hacking my Wii, something that I’ve kinda wanted to do, but never really had the urge to do. The real reason I didn’t do it before was because of my lack of an SD card reader/writer. After obtaining my dad’s GPS sytem (that had a built-in SD card reader, I knew I was now able to get my Wii hacked up. Like everyone else, I installed the Homebrew channel, then downgraded my Wii’s system from 3.4U to 3.2U. Wii menu 3.2U is hack-suitable. With some newly installed apps, my Wii can now do a lot more things than it could before. One of the coolest things is that my Wii can now play DVDs...

3 Weeks Straight of Sniffling, Sneezing, Stuffy, Aching Hell -Sunday, February 22, 2009 9:22 P.M |
| |
The last 3 weeks have sucked...Really bad. I've been sick non-stop and right when one sickness went away, another took it's place. Now I know it's partially my fault, yea yea, blah blah, but this is ridiculous. I think my final sickness (the sinus infection) I may have gotten from Alyssa. See, she had her own series of sickness going on as well, and I took it upon myself to try and help out as much as I could. I'm pretty sure that whatever I got from her was from the soda we shared.
Yesterday afternoon, one of my headaches got up to it's unbearable point. You see, for the past 3 days, I've woken up with headaches, and have had to deal with them for the whole day. I have never in my life woken up with a headache. And now all of a sudden 3 days in a row? Gimme a break, huh? But anyway, on this 3rd day, what a simple 2 tablets of advil would've taken care of wasn't working. Alyssa had advised me to go to the ER, considering she had done the same, and they pretty much fixed her up good as new. Normally I don't take advice with a magnitude such as this one on such short notice, but I wasn't exactly doing anything, and Alyssa seemed pretty serious about it...So i decided to suck it up and just go...

Current Projects and Recent Neglect For Them, Oh No - Tuesday, February 10, 2009 11:30 P.M |
|
| |
Haven’t talked about anything in a few weeks now. But it’s not like nothing has been happening lately. This week alone (only Tuesday so far) has been hands down the most fun week of 2009 so far. Recently the weather’s been a little warmer, I’ve gotten out more, and even got closer to already close friends. I got to hop back up on my board after months of freezing temps and no skating. Felt great, I’m a little rusty, but it still felt great.
The only “real” downside is that for a few days I haven’t been able to get some of my constant projects done. Everyone knows that I like to keep the project train constantly moving. At the moment, I’m currently working on: (and I’ll cross them off as they get done)...

Winter Carnival, Brawl, Old Faces, and A Savior Of Two -Friday, January 23rd, 2009 11:59 P.M |
|
| |
Everyone knows that I was going to attend this year's "Winter Carnival" at John Bowne. In my own head it was to deal with some unfinished business and own up all the little Jap Club members in Brawl...Boy that is NOT how my night went.
Alyssa and I were supposed to head to the event together, kinda like a Bonnie and Clyde kinda thing to deal with our own shit for going to the winter carnival. At the last minute, Alyssa tells me that she can't make it. I didn't know anyone there besides mah boys and her, so why would I go now? She felt bad, but she really wanted me to go to do what it was I needed to do... All I was left with was a "Try and have fun ok? : ]"
When I finally get there, first thing I noticed was that noone was dancing on the dance floor, so me being me, I said "Screw this..." and headed into the game room. I knew this year they'd have brawl, and a perfect opportunity to own up the members of the Jap Club for all the crap they had put me through the year before... I started winning match after match after match. I showed everyone there my triforce tattoo, so they knew exactly what they were dealing with. I won every single match except for the last one, Marvin took that one. Throughout the last few matches, I kept hearing someone calling my name, but paid no attention.
The person calling my name was my friend Lita (who I had come in with) who is there with an old friend of mine, Michelle. I have not seen or talked to Michelle in exactly ONE YEAR from this day. Lita was...

AnthoFlex.com Launched! -Wednesday, January 21st, 2009 10:49 A.M |
|
| |
I've always wanted my own little website something. After days of thinking, and more days designing and coding this site, and weeks of waiting to get paid, it's finally done. I have to say, I feel pretty good. It took awhile to think up of a design for this. The NYCBsmash site was a piece of cake to design because I've always had the idea. But for this, I had to make it look like something that represents...scratch that, something that IS me. Also while trying to keep it looking Web2.0 for Trevor of course, haha (just kidding). What else is there to say?
...Oh man I hope I didn't start a website making trend.
